Wine label design
The design of the Highway Cabernet Sauvignon label draws deep inspiration from the vineyard’s unique story and topography. Once a singular, uninterrupted parcel of lush grapevines in the Barossa Valley, the estate was eventually bisected by a major roadway—dividing the vineyard in half and altering the natural landscape.
To honor this transformation, we incorporated a stylized topographic contour design, echoing the shape and elevation of the original vineyard terrain. The intersecting gold-foil lines symbolize both the flow of the land and the road that now cuts through it—highlighting the tension between nature and human development. The label layout itself nods to the vineyard‘s original square formation, now visually divided yet still whole in spirit.
This minimalist yet meaningful design pays tribute to heritage, geography, and the inevitable passage of change—reflected not only in the land, but also in the wine it yields.
